Living in the NOW

Hi everyone!!!!! Happy Wednesday loves. I want to ask you for a huge favor. Hold your hands to your chest, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. What do you notice? Do can you feel your heart beat? Just notice.

You are the seed. You are in control. You are powerful.

When I stop and notice things, sometimes I have to stop the urge within myself to judge-I call this the subconscious judging- it’s okay! We all do it eventually. This past week, I challenged myself by telling myself I would try to catch my thoughts as they floated through my head. I realized that I was judging or had negative thoughts more than I was aware and instead of feeding into my judging thoughts, I challenged my thoughts, I asked myself, “well why am I thinking like this?”. Let me tell you, it’s not an easy task but not impossible! You see, living in the present moment is like meditating with your eyes open. It’s like doing yoga and breathing through the lessons that the universe sends us. When we hold on to the past and the future- we are already creating something unrealistic for ourselves. Why do we have to hold on to past events or people? When we don’t let go of “negative” experiences or we don’t learn how to analyze them. We will, in fact, re-live the same trauma/nagative experience over and over AGAIN. You may ask yourself, why do I keep attracting this type of situations/people. That’s because on a subconcious level you are attracting these things, and on a subconscious level you are fearful. You don’t want to re-live the same people or experiences that you keep attracting them. One of the best things you can do for yourself is LET GO! Don’t hold on to situations and people that do not serve you any longer. Certain situations and people are necessary but instead of dwelling on it, ask yourself, “what did I learn from this situation?” “what can I do differently next time?” When we don’t let go we will take all of our experiences with US! The next time you get upset, sad, mad, or worried ask yourself: why do I feel this way? Is it over this particular situation OR am I upset at something that occurred long ago. Think DEEPLY. I must mention that living in the future also does not serve us. When we create illusions for ourselves and how amazing things will turn out (don’t get me wrong stay positive) but you will create a false sense of what you want. When the outcome is not what you expect you create a painful situation for yourself! Live in the now, live in the now! I highly recommend you read the book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, it’s an amazing book that talks about what I’ve mentioned above. Remember that you are amazing and that you have the power to create peace and joy in your life starting with yourself! Listen to what your body is telling you and give yourself the space to listen and heal. -Love, Gaby
